Bright Check is the glittering and eye catching of the bullion materials. It is creating by wrapping the same material used in Smooth Purl around a very thin piece of metal around a very small rod. You can then add different effects to the rod to get different effects with the final Bullion. For Bright Check the fine metal has angles along the coil which create flat faces along the bullion. These flat faces reflects the light and create a glitter effect as if shining off gem facets.

Bright Check can be used for lots of different embroidery techniques. It is most commonly used over a technique called soft string padding. The metal is applied with a technique called cutwork. It is also used for Chipping which is a technique that provides beautiful sparkle by stitching tiny pieces of cut Check.

This high quality bullion is used by our Hand & Lock embroiderers in our hand embroidery studio and our professional tutors in their goldwork classes.
