Explore world of bespoke hand embellishment with Britain's oldest embroidery house in Hand & Lock’s Victorian Crystal Lamppost Embroidery Class!
Goldwork is the art of embroidery using metal threads. Historically associated with ceremonial and military uniform the technique is now also popular in customization, couture and interior design. Using threads that are imitation gold, silver, copper, or coloured allows embroiderers to create metallic surface designs that reflect light and create dazzling effects. Combined with beautiful hand beading techniques, this class gives you a stunning introduction to hand embellishment.
This class is designed to introduce you to this beautiful hand embroidery technique and to connect with likeminded embroiderers from around the world. You will be guided by our expert hand embroidery tutors in this bespoke class. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and chat to the tutor as they stitch.
This class design is the image pictured. You will be sent the design in a PDF format when you have booked the class if you would like to stitch along with the demonstration.

Testimonials:
"I've taken a lot of online courses and Hand & Lock tutors are the best tutors out of all of them. I love that the tutor encouraged us to make the patterns our own. We can tweak the style a bit and it's not a big deal. So fun to learn techniques but not feel constrained by them"
'The tutor's feedback was really sweet and encouraging. I am rather ambitious when it comes to technical stitch level so for me it works well to mention things that are not great yet so that I know how to improve them.'
'I really like the different designs and ideas you have and the support during online course is excellent.'
