TESTEMONIALS FROM 2021:
'The few words below attempt to summarise an exhibition of master craftsmanship – one wrapped in vision, professionalism, generosity and kindness of every kind.
The size and breadth of this exhibition of the contemporary art of embroidery for both fashion and for works of fine art, has never been achieved in a single venue before.
Since inception of the Hand & Lock Prizes no event has equaled the magnitude of this celebration of embroidery.
It’s uniqueness is fundamentally built on a worldwide call for competition submissions with the potential of prestigious prizes and subsequent recognition and promotion both for winners as well as those shortlisted.
Displays within the twelve rooms were skillfully designed to sit elegantly and professionally within this somewhat raw and previously derelict commercial storage space.
The event was compounded by the depth and level of the talks, workshops and guided tours all wrapped in bountiful warmth from every member of staff and volunteers.'
Kate Tume - Mother Eagle Artist
'Hands down the best collection I’ve ever seen in one gallery. Thank you!'
