Class - Hand & Lock - Traditional Goldwork128633
Date: Sunday 7th November 2021
Time: 11am - 1pm
Location: Oxo Tower Wharf, Barge House St, South Bank, London SE1 9PH
As part of the Embroidered Arts exhibition Hand & Lock are running an exclusive traditional Goldwork class. In this class you will use a range of coloured bullions to create a beautiful shell design.
Goldwork is the art of embroidery using metal threads. Historically associated with ceremonial and military uniform the technique is now also popular in customisation, couture and interior design. Using threads that are imitation gold, silver, copper, or coloured allows embroiderers to create metallic surface designs that reflect light and create dazzling effects.
Please note, the product image just shows the technique of coloured goldwork, and is not the design that will be taught in the class.
This class will only be available at the Bargehouse and is separate to the schedule of classes run by Hand & Lock.
This class will allow you access to the exhibition on the date of the class, however will only allow a one time entry.
The event is open from Wednesday 3rd Nov - Sunday 7th November
(Thurs closed from 5pm)
