As part of the Hand & Lock Festival of Embroidery Trend Forecaster Laura Perryman is presenting a talk titled 'INTELLIGENT TACTILE'
Colour and Material and Trend expert Laura Perryman discusses the key influences in future design, sustainability, and lifestyle; and explains how they will impact the choices we make about materials. Colour and aesthetics. This talk will showcase some of the exciting projects and innovative directions from global designers, leading researchers, and architects that are set to influence surfaces and materials. Innovative emerging materials and surface design techniques will be brought into focus and key information will be shared that will highlight the leading technologies, processes, and their potential applications for the design industry.
The talk will be held at the Hand & Lock Studio at 86 Margaret Street, London on Wednesday 20th and will begin at 7.00pm with a drinks reception at 6.30pm
Laura Perryman is an expert in colour and materials design and trend forecasting, she has created ground breaking colour, finish, and material design solutions for clients such as: Toyota, Habitat, 3M, Panasonic Europe, Nokia, Speedo and DuPont Solid Surfaces. In addition her expertise have been brought into bespoke material research projects with innovation and intelligence agencies such as Native, Beauty streams and WGSN. She is also part-time Lecturer in BA Surface Design at Bucks New University, as well as running consultancy, Colour of Saying, which specialises in future experiential design with colour and materials.
